WonderHere Friends! We are just over two weeks away from the start of Summer Camps! Camp spots are filling up by the minute, and we are truly excited to bring you the best summer camps Lakeland has seen 🙂 We’ve given you a rundown of each camp in our past posts – the themes, the specifics, the FUN to be had. 1. We are one of the few camps in town (if not the only camp) that provides a distinct balance between learning and fun. As a matter of fact, that’s part of our vision as a company… that’s why we are a learn & play studio. We believe you can have fun while learning, and you can learn while having fun. The two need not be separated! So, with camps like Chopped, Jr. (which only has ONE SPOT LEFT!), campers will be experiencing hands on FUN working with different yummy recipes, but will also be learning about measurement and the actual science behind cooking. With camps like LegoVentures, campers will get to play with Legos a whole bunch, all the while learning about engineering and math. And of course there will still be traditional camp activities like group games, choice activities, crafts, and leisure time. 2. We love fun and play, but we also take the “learn” aspect of our learn & play studio very seriously. All of our teachers (those who teach our regular sessions year round and our camp teachers) are certified and highly qualified teachers as recognized by the State of Florida. We have been trained to create learning opportunities that help your children be problem solvers and critical thinkers. So not only will your child learn while having fun during summer camps, but they’ll be learning beyond the surface level… rather at a deeper level as is developmentally appropriate for your child’s age and your child as an individual.
3. You will find our camps to be convenient for families. First, we are centrally located! Our studio is located on 111 S. Florida Avenue, right in Downtown, next to Polk Theater. Our space is conducive to lots of learning and fun 🙂 Also, our camps run from 8am-5pm, which offers much flexibility for working families.
