Connection Stems

Making connections when you read will help your reading comprehension soar! 

What you need:

• Fiction book of choice 

How to prep:

• Print out the connection stems with color or without color.
• Cut the slips apart and fold them in half.
• Place them in a bag or bowl. 

Directions:

1. Read your fiction book of choice.

2. Without looking, grab a slip of paper and complete the sentence.

3. Continue until all slips of papers have been used.
