Season your sentences to make them “yummy”! This activity is a great way to practice subjects and predicates by constructing sentences.
What you need:

Scissors
-
Laminator (optional)
-
Pencil
How to prep:

Cut out the task cards.

Add 5 subjects and 5 predicates to the empty boxes.

Create two piles, one for the subjects and the other for the predicates, and place the cards face down.

If you would like, you can label the piles.
Directions:

Choose one card from each pile.

Read the subject card followed by the predicate card to create a complete sentence.

Using the recording sheet, write the sentence in the corresponding column.
Extension (for two or more players):

Place all the task cards face down.

Taking turns, flip over two cards at a time in attempt to make a complete and factual sentence.

If they are not a match, flip them back.
-
If they are a match, keep them.
-
The player with the most pairs wins!
