Sometimes, the same word can have more than one meaning. This activity will help children identify the different meanings of words and practice using the words in a sentence.
What you need:
- Pencil
How to prep:
- Simply print the pages
Directions:
-
Fill out each graphic organizer using the word given. Answer as much of the graphic organizer as you can without help. Then, you may ask for assistance, use a dictionary, or look up meanings online.
-
Extension:
Share your sentences with members in your family. After you share each one, have someone tell you which definition you used. Be sure to tell them if they are correct or incorrect. A high five, say “great job”, or a thumbs up are some ways to encourage their correct answers. If they are incorrect, share the answer and explain why.
