Lakeland Schoolhouse
Our WonderHere Schoolhouse is a small private school founded on the principles of play-based, project-driven, and personalized education. Utilizing our Family-Style™ Schoolhouse model, children are taught core skills and concepts, while also getting the opportunity to explore their own interests with the guidance of teacher mentorship.
With both full-day and half-day options, there is room for you here at the Schoolhouse! All students, whether attending half-day or full-day, will receive daily, direct instruction in the areas of language arts, math, and science/history with an assigned teacher. In addition to instruction in those core subjects, they get the opportunity to explore their interests through project time and play.
Lakeland Homeschool Programs
We believe that homeschooling is best done in community with others. Allow the WonderHere Farm to be your gathering place where your child can learn alongside friends in a safe, fun, and peaceful environment. Our Lakeland Homeschool Programs provide many different options in regards to ages, interests, scheduling, and whether you want to drop your child off or experience the learning with them.
Come take part in Toddler Farm School, 4-H, Wilderness Workshops, Friday School, Co-Op, Family Farm Days, and more! There is something for everyone at WonderHere.
Lakeland Farm Programs
Did you know that WonderHere Lakeland is located on ten-acres of lush farm land with animals, gardens, and tons of space to run and play?! Well, now you do! Come enjoy our Farm Programs like Wilderness Workshop, Toddler Farm, and Family Farm Day!
When we first began WonderHere, we had a dream to establish an urban-based play center where children could experience the walkability of Downtown, dine at local establishments for lunch, make Munn Park a classroom for the day, and sit on the lawn while studying.
But we grew faster than expected and did not truly understand (at the time) the deep need a child has for access to nature and playing outdoors. After the pandemic, it became clear that our current location would no longer meet the needs of our community and we began searching for something new. Our farm location is a story of God’s faithfulness and countless miracles that made this place a reality. We hope you will come enjoy it!
Lakeland Summer Camps
Are you ready for the best summer of your kid’s life?! At WonderHere, we believe childhood is something to be cherished, preserved, and enjoyed. Our summer camps will leave your children FILLED with wonder. This is our TENTH year of summer camp, and we have fun down to a science! Each thematic week, children will experience hands-on activities, exposure to new hobbies and skills, weekly movie day and water day, and team competitions! Campers will get to interact with nature and farm animals. And daily free play, of course!
Elementary Camps are perfect for ages 5-12, and Minis Camps are ideal for children ages 4-5. Minis camps have smaller group sizes and fewer transitions to help younger children thrive.
