Description
Welcome to Mini City Summer Camp, where little ones can explore the hustle and bustle of city life, all in their own size! This exciting camp gives Minis ages 4-5 the chance to pretend they’re grown-ups, visiting and exploring the essential places that keep a city running. Whether they’re delivering mail, helping out at the fire station, or running a pretend grocery store, every day is an adventure in this vibrant, interactive city!
Camp Highlights:
- Crafts & Creative Fun: Kids will get hands-on with building their own mini city maps, decorating mailboxes for a pretend post office, designing storefront signs for their grocery stores, and crafting their own police badges or firefighter hats. They’ll also make paper airplanes for a “delivery service” and create colorful city street signs to help navigate their way.
- Science Experiments: Young scientists will explore how a mail sorting machine works, experiment with water pressure in a fire hose simulation, and conduct a simple building materials test to see which materials are best for constructing sturdy buildings.
- Themed Activities: Campers will rotate through different city stations each day, including visiting the Fire Station for a pretend rescue, checking out the Police Station to learn about safety, stopping by the Post Office to sort and deliver mail, and heading to the Grocery Store to stock shelves and “shop” with play money.
- Outdoor Games: Kids will enjoy active games like a “Firefighter Rescue Relay”, where they race to put out a fire (using water balloons), a “City Scavenger Hunt” to find hidden objects around their mini-city, and “Bank Heist” where they’ll work together to solve clues and catch the “thief.” There will also be Pedestrian Safety Play, where they practice crossing the street and following traffic lights.
- Free Play & Exploration: The heart of the camp is free play time, where children can role-play in different city-themed corners—whether it’s playing shopkeeper at the grocery store, being a postal worker delivering letters, or pretending to run the fire station. There will also be a “construction zone” with blocks to build city buildings, and quiet spaces to read city-related books or design their own city maps.
Throughout the camp, campers will learn about community roles, teamwork, and the importance of each part of the city. By the end of the week, they’ll have new skills, lasting memories, and a deeper understanding of how a city works—all while having a blast! Get ready to explore, create, and build in Mini City!
